Here we are, the Davis clan. We're venturing out into the world, trying to follow God's lead. We hope you'll enjoy watching our family learn and grow.

Last week of June

We've had an actual week of summer! We've also had 100 degree weather!! Today was beautiful, 90 was the high. It's funny. Some people wait for 90 degree weather so that they can feel warm enough to go out to the lake...we waited until it was that COOL so that we could STAND being out in the sun! It was s beautiful day, and as you'll see in the pictures, we had a great time out at Ray Roberts State Park. The kids loved playing in the sand, and it was nice for Ryan and me that they had plenty to choose from to keep them occupied. Leah got an ice cream treat and made the best of it for sure. I also tried to make the best of the sunshine. My poor pasty white skin now looks like fried bacon. Guess I learned my lesson. Poor Ryan. He looks like he's wearing a white t-shirt, even when he's not. He's out in the sun so much, his neck is brown and his back paid the price today...even with layers of sun screen!
I also threw in a picture of Leah's last ballet class. She's starting to retain some of the French words for her "moves" as she calls them. I'm sure my family will get to see her in action next week. Maybe Grandma Connie and Randy will see them too if they're able to come visit this summer too.
A few weeks ago, the kids got a gift in the mail from Randy and Grandma Connie, and they got to pick out something special at the store. Thank you!!!

Our Babies

This makes all the long days seem not so long. I'm so greatful for our sweet babies and the joy they bring to our lives.

Another ballet class, and more storms coming! Wanted to put these pictures up quickly before the bad weather gets here. I may just need to go searching for candles again! You'll see the picture of us with Matt and Katie and a lantern the other night playing a game. No power! Mom, the picture of Leah is for you...she LOVED the hair bands!

Update

My procedure went well yesterday. The surgery I had 6 years ago seems to be holding, so the irritation/swelling/inflamation i'm feeling is being caused by something else. We'll get some lab results on Friday. I'll post more when I know more. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers! And thanks to Mom for coming to take me to and from the doctor. We all love having you here! Thanks to Ryan too, he's definately the partner God intended for me :)

Sweet June Bugs

Here's out sweet June Bugs...they're growing so quickly. Leah started ballet again today. I'm waiting for her teacher to tell us to bring her to the older kids' class. She's the only one who sits and listen's to instructions. It's a little chaotic, but we know she's enjoying it, and she's only 3 still. I asked her today if I could call her, "Tiny Dancer". She said, "No thanks. Just call me big girl". Her hair is long enough to braid now, just last summer it was bobbed short! She enjoys taking rides on the stroller and spending special days with Daddy. Now that summer is officially here, she's getting more one on one time with him.
Logan is talking ALOT! He's able to tell us what he wants, when he wants it and when he's had enough. He's on the go all the time, and has taken his share of bumps and tumbles in the last week. I guess if he's choosing to jump off of the table onto the couch, or off of the couch next to the table, he's bound to get knocked around! You can see from the pictures how tall he's getting. He's really thining out too. He's still squishy and snuggly though. He'll be my baby for a while yet.
Ryan's doing well. His camp starts on Monday, so for the next few weeks he'll be heavily immersed in the sunshine. We're praying for good attendance for his 3rd annual camp!
I'm doing well too. The kids and I walk daily, find new places to play. We go swimming on Thursday's with mom's and kids from church so that has been fun. I go in on Tuesday to have an upper endoscopy, (they'll scope esophagus and stomach) and try to figure out what's going on with my reflux. I'm anxious to see what's been happening!
We're greatful for summertime and excited to spend more time with Ryan!
